North Cornwall Libraries
The libraries all across North Cornwall are a fantastic resource and offer lots of services as well as loaning books.
Library membership is free to everyone in Cornwall and children's membership is also available. Children can get their own library card which is linked to and adult's account.
Each account can borrow up to 18 items and keep them for three weeks. If you find you need them longer, they cane be renewed, either online or at the library, up to 5 times
The libraries provide access to a wide range of books for leisure and learning, plus:
- DVDs and CDs
- online newspapers and magazines
- eBooks and eAudiobooks
- music scores and plays
- local information
- use of a computer and internet
- adults and childrens groups

As well as the usual selection of books, Bodmin Library always has crafts, Lego, Duplo, brio train set and board games for children. We also have adult board games and jigsaw puzzles to play in the library.
Storytime - 0-5 year olds - Monday 10am & Saturday 10:30am
Storytime brings the magic of reading to life, inspiring families to share stories and make visiting your local library a regular and long-lasting part of family life.
Bookstart Rhymetime: 0-5 year olds - Friday 10am
Babies and children who discover the pleasure of hearing stories and rhymes have a flying start when it comes to learning to read by themselves. Rhymetime sessions involve a mix of songs, rhymes, rhythm and movement, while providing the opportunity to share games, books and toys. They are also a friendly, inclusive space for parents and carers to meet up, mingle and make new friends.
Board Games Gang - Thursdays 3.30-4.30pm
Come and enjoy a selection of board games, including Chess, Battleships, Jenga, Scrabble, Connect4, City of Zombies and Pop & Hop every Thursday. Playing board games increases brain function. It teaches how to set goals and be patient and enhances creativity and self-confidence plus it’s fun!
Knit and Natter - Wednesday 10am – 12noon
Knit and natter is a free self-help group open to anyone who wants to knit, crochet, embroider or just natter. They are a welcoming group that meets each week. They have created dementia muffs, bears, hats for the hospital, baby cardigans for UK and abroad, angels, Easter Chicks, birds, tree decorations, hats and scarves for the homeless, and just chat.
