Garden developed from farmland.

South Bosent is open to raise money for charity.

This garden is an example of work in progress currently being developed from farmland. The aim is to create a combination of interesting plants coupled with habitat for wildlife over a total of 9.5 acres. There are several garden areas, woodland gardens, a meadow, ponds of varying sizes, including new rill and waterfall.

South Bosent is a developing wildlife haven. The land surrounding this old farmhouse has been planted to encourage wildlife; fruit trees, a wild flower meadow, and ponds all enrich the local ecosystem. It has a variety of different aspects to the garden including ponds, bluebell filled woodland (in spring) and formal and informal flower planting. Many trees and shrubs have been planted and this garden is already seeing a large increase in insects, butterflies, moths, birds and mammals including many bats.

There is partial access for wheelchairs and pushchairs, but not in the bluebell wood.

Refreshments are being sold as well as some plants.

£6 entry - cash on arrival
