St Breock Downs Monolith

An English Heritage site, St Breock Downs Monolith is the largest and heaviest monolith in Cornwall.

This huge stone stands near the summit of the St Breock Downs, and from this vantage point you can enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. The monolith is estimated to weigh around 16 tonnes, and dates from the Neolithic to mid-Bronze Age - around 2500–1500 BC.

The site is open any reasonable time during daylight hours and is free to access.

Parking: - yes - layby a short walk away from the path that leads to the monument.
