Girl Guiding North Cornwall

North Cornwall

We empower girls to be their best and face the challenges growing up today. We’ve been doing that through adventure, friendship, and fun for over 100 years.

Girlguiding’s aim is to build girls’ confidence and raise their aspirations, as well as give them the chance to discover their full potential and encourage them to be a powerful force for good. Here in Cornwall, we encourage our members to relish and utilise our beautiful countryside, beaches, and heritage.

We have Rainbow, Brownie, Guides, Rangers and Trefoil members spanning from the Isles of Scilly and all the way to Launceston. Together we enable all of our members to try their best at a wide variety of activities from canoeing, rock climbing and hiking to learning new skills such as cookery, first aid and performing. Many of our members will have sleepovers, holidays and even go camping, plus we don't let our extreme location stop us from taking regular trips around the UK and internationally.

Rainbows - 4-7 Years - Rainbows is all about developing self-confidence, building friendships, learning new things and having fun. Girls get their hands dirty with arts and crafts, get in touch with nature and play games - it's all about learning by doing.

Brownies - 7-10 years - Brownies opens up a world of exciting challenges and the opportunity to try new things and to have lots of fun! Girls can get the opportunity to go along to camps, holidays, day trips and sleepovers. They get together with their friends at regular meetings where they learn new hobbies, get creative, explore other cultures and have outdoor adventures.

Guides -  10-14 years - What you do in Guides is up to you, from taking part in lots of exciting activities at regular meetings to special events and trips away.

Rangers - 14-18 years - Rangers wear a brand new uniform, meet up regularly, have fun doing activities together and be recognised for their achievements with badges and awards. Whatever you want to do, Rangers offers a range of unique opportunities.
