Tamar Lakes
Bude
Tamar Lakes, near Bude, are some of the lakes in Cornwall that are cared for by South West Lakes Trust.
There are way-marked walks to follow around the shorelines of the two lakes. The circular route around Upper Tamar Lake is approximately 4.5km and is a lovely level path - brilliant for bikes, scooters and pushchairs.
There is a great play area suitable for children of a wide range of ages and bird hide for a spot of wildlife watching.
If you follow a path for half a mile from Upper Tamar on an off-road woodland trail, you will come to Lower Tamar Lake. There is a car park at Lower Tamar Lake if you want to start there.
There a map with walking route round the lake here.
