Hurlers Stone Circles

Liskeard

The Hurlers are a group of three stone circles arranged in a line, dating from late Neolithic or early Bronze Age.

The Hurlers Stone Circles are one of the best examples of ceremonial circles in Cornwall. According to legend, they are the remains of men who were petrified for playing hurling on a Sunday.

Situated at the edge of Bodmin Moor, The Hurlers are a short walk away from Goldiggins Quarry and The Cheesewring.

The site is open any reasonable time in daylight hours and is free to access.

The site is managed by the Cornwall Heritage Trust.
